The Transportation Security Administration is opening a temporary office at Corpus Christi International Airport on Feb. 13-17 to accept applications for the TSA PreCheck program.
Passengers enrolled in TSA PreCheck do not have to remove their shoes or light outerwear and belts when they go through security. They can also keep laptops in their cases and 3-1-1 compliant liquids and gels in their carry-ons when in designated TSA screening lanes.
U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents may apply.
To begin the enrollment process, visit TSA’s online application page and enter the requested information, clicking “Next” at the bottom of each screen. For location, enter “Pop Up: CRP, 2/13-2/17” and then choose an appointment time. Make note of the time as the agency does not send out reminders.
For final processing, applicants with confirmed appointments will go to TSA’s popup office in CCIA’s Aviation Conference Room on the second floor near the airport’s administration offices. The agency will offer up to three hours of free parking in the short-term lot. The TSA assesses a $78 application fee, which must be paid with a credit card, money order, company check, or certified/cashier’s check.
