A new Corpus Christi restaurant is giving away free pizza on Sunday. Each guest who attends Urban Bricks Pizza Co.’s official grand opening from noon-2 p.m. May 7 will get a free pizza along with other giveaways to be announced. Urban Bricks Pizza is located in the The Shops at La Palmera, 4902 St. Staples St. at South Padre Island Drive.
Pizzas are made on the spot and out in the open with fresh ingredients, including the hand-tossed dough. Everything is cooked in an authentic, bright lime green Neapolitan brick oven imported from Italy. The rotating oven takes only two minutes to cook a pizza.
The entire experience is about choice in this fast-casual eatery, with each customer first picking the crust, then the sauce followed by the cheese, toppings and drizzle. Each personal-size pizza, no matter the number of toppings (and there are 30 from which to choose), is the same price.
“We embrace the pizza-eating culture by providing a customized experience for every taste without compromising our quality for speed,” reads the company website. Headquartered in San Antonio, Urban Bricks Pizza works to provide fresh ingredients and speedy delivery. It is one of the few fast-casual restaurants with a delivery service.
The company began setting up franchises in 2015. It was founded by current CEO Sammy Aldeeb, who already has 120 franchises in development. The Corpus Christi location was announced last summer.
Aldeeb opened his first franchise (before developing Urban Bricks Pizza) when he was 22. He has owned franchises with Marble Slab Creamery, Subway and the Great American Cookie Co.
After researching restaurant franchises, he spent a year perfecting the concept for Urban Bricks Pizza, putting a focus on establishing a bright, modern upbeat atmosphere.
“At Urban Bricks, we give people what they want,” Aldeeb told Business Wire. “Our restaurants are hip, and people eat with their eyes first. Our service is fast, yet Urban Bricks still offers the best pizza around.”
Live music and giveaways (to be announced on the restaurant’s Facebook page) will all be part of the May 7 grand opening.
