Make good use of your down time at home during the novel coronavirus pandemic by building a vacation wish list for Corpus Christi, Port Aransas, and the entire Coastal Bend. The best place to do that is right here at 101CorpusChristi.com, where you can build a digital itinerary of places to go, things to do, and where to eat, sleep, and play.
Start with the beaches. Click on “101 FUN THINGS TO DO” in the black nav bar (three white bars on your smart phone) and choose Beaches with a touch of your finger or a click of your mouse.
Slide the small square pictures we call icons from left to right. Each one represents an area beach and contains links to information on locations, best features, any regulations, and more.
Click on “Add to Favorites” to save a list of where you want to go next. These same instructions work on all of our other guides, which categorize the 101 PLUS! Things to do in Corpus Christi.
Here’s a quick look at our vacation guides to help you plan your next trip to the beach.

BEACH ACTIVITIES
Now that you know which beaches you want to visit, check out the activities available and add them to your list. You can go windsurfing, kite flying, boogie boarding, paddle boarding, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and much much more.

ATTRACTIONS & ACTIVITIES
Plan an adventure aboard the USS Lexington, at the Texas State Aquarium, South Texas Speedway, the waterparks, or aboard the Red Dragon Cruise. Those are just a few of the attractions awaiting the touch of your finger or click of your mouse on the “Add to Favorites” button.
You can also golf on a number of courses which we have listed or hire a charter boat for fishing, just to mention a few other activities among hundreds.

MUSEUMS & CULTURE
Corpus Christi is steeped in culture and history, which can be explored in full via first-class museums and entertainment venues. Visit the Art Museum of South Texas, the Museum of Science & History, a wide variety of art galleries, the Texas Maritime Museum, and museums focused on Tejano civil rights, Asian cultures, pre-historic peoples, boats, Selena, and more. Corpus Christi has a top notch symphony orchestra and ballet.
We also have a list of music venues, movie theaters, and where to attend a Tropicoso Cumbia dance party.

PARKS
The Coastal Bend has it all when it comes to parks from national to state to local. Padre Island National Seashore is known for its summertime sea turtle hatchling releases along its pristine shoreline, the longest barrier island in the world.
State parks include Mustang Island State Park, Goose Island State Park, and Lake Corpus Christi State Park.
Local parks feature playgrounds, splash pads, basketball courts, NCAA standard beach volley ball courts, disc golf, skate park, and more.
The area also boasts world renowned wildlife preserves and birding parks, including the home of the only wild flock of whooping cranes which winter at the Aransas National Wildlife Reserve. As the birdiest city in the United States, Corpus Christi offers plenty of opportunity to identify the hundreds of species that fly through the area each year from migrating hummingbirds to raptors. Pick your park on our Parks guide page.

SHOPPING
Now, let’s do some shopping. Walk through the mouth of a giant shark or take a selfie with a towering mermaid at one of the many eclectic souvenir shops you’ll find.
The Coastal Bend also features an outlet mall, an indoor mall, and many, many outdoor shopping centers with all the major stores as well as unique boutiques and shops. Don’t forget antiques! The Coastal Bend has it all.

EAT & DRINK
By now you must be hungry. Stop for a bite to eat at steak houses, pizza parlors, seafood restaurants, taquerias, or food trucks. You’ll find an array of Thai, Asian, Mexican, Filipino, and other ethnic delights, as well as barbecue, chicken fried steak, and chicken!
