It will soon be cold enough to wear a jacket, and when that happens, those who help the homeless will be ready. Starting a warm clothing drive this month are members of the Corpus Christi Bar Association, the Salvation Army and the Nueces County Commissioners Court.
Red and gold collection boxes will be set up inside the Nueces County Courthouse and at law offices across town. Donations of gently used or new warm clothing can also be left at the Salvation Army, 1802 Buford St., and the Corpus Christi Bar Association offices, 555 N. Carancahua St., No. 260.
Clothes for men, women and children are needed. The warm clothing drive lasts through Nov. 18. Checks donations may be mailed to The Salvation Army, 521 Josephine St., Corpus Christi, TX 78401.
