The Thomas J. Henry law firm’s annual Bark in the Park Halloween costume contest for dogs raises money for several local animal shelters. Benefiting Peewee’s Pet Adoption World & Sanctuary, Gulf Coast Humane Society, and P.A.L.S. Animal Shelter, this year’s event is 2-7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at the Cole Park amphitheater. The park is located at 1526 Ocean Drive.
The family-friendly event began in 2012 as a fun way to bring together pet owners, local pet businesses, pet rescue organizations, and no-kill pet shelters to raise money for and awareness of different pet initiatives in Corpus Christi.
To compete in the contest, pet owners must register their animals for $7 each. Cash prizes up to $1,000 will be awarded.
Along with the opportunity to see the world’s cutest animals dressed up for Halloween, Bark in the Park will also have activities for the kids, food trucks, vendors, and more.
